Nine-Run Second Propels Memphis to 15-3 Win at Houston

Memphis (27-26, 12-10) recorded a season-high 23 hits and a nine-run second inning was all they needed in a 15-3 defeat of Houston (17-31-1, 5-16-1) on Thursday night at Cougar Field.

Fourteen Tigers Qualify for the NCAA East Preliminary

Memphis track and field qualified 14 athletes for the NCAA East Preliminary for the second-straight year on Thursday. The Tigers tied the program record for qualifiers with a group that includes six freshman, five sophomores, one junior and two seniors.

The University of Memphis golf team rebounded from a slow start early in the first round to post a team score of 295 (+7) and grab a share of fourth position at the NCAA Bowling Green Regional. Jonathan Fly set the pace with a 4-under-par 68 and is tied for the individual lead with Pedro Figueiredo of UCLA.

Cutchlow Named Director of Football Strength And Conditioning

Former University of Memphis baseball player Rohrk Cutchlow has returned to his alma mater as the Director of Football Strength and Conditioning.

Tigers Ranked in Top 15 of USTFCCCA South Region

In the final United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association South Region Index, both Tiger track and field squads garnered a top-15 ranking to close out the 2012 outdoor season. Memphis men ranked 10th, while the women returned to rankings at number 15.
