Well the day has arrived for Melissa McFerrin's Tigers to see game action in front of the public for the first time when they host DT3 at the Elma Roane Field House this morning at 11:30.
DT3, a team made up of ex-college players, should be a good test. They feature two NAIA All-American guards from Vanguard University, Tari Goold and Lacy Burns. Inside, Memphis will have to contend with Lauren Riley-Varley who was a two-time All Mountain West selection at BYU. Why does Memphis play an 11:30 morning game on a Friday you may ask? They are expecting over one thousand elementary students as part of a promotion! The Tigers have done this the past few years and it's one of my favorite games to call. Thousands of screaming kids excited to be out of school!
I hope to see you out there today, if you can't make it, all games will again be on WUMR 91.7fm and I would love to get your emails during the games at MEMPHISRADIO@HOTMAIL.COM
