Back on the bus again today for a trip to Birmingham for baseball's series with UAB. Fifth through ninth in the league is separated by just one game so this will be a huge series for us as far as getting into the CUSA tournament in Hattiesburg in three weeks. The Blazers are 6-9 in the league while we are 5-10. The Tigers also need to get this series because, right now, they don't have any tie-breakers in their favor.

Well, just 13 regular season games left for baseball and they'll have to play well down the stretch to qualify for the Conference Tournament. It will be a tough road, literally; we have just four home games left and continue our eight-game road trip this weekend at Tulane. The Tigers will get their first look at the new Turchin Stadium in New Orleans. For the second time this season, Memphis will play on an all-field turf surface. The only dirt on the field is the pitchers mound. Troy had the same surface when Memphis played there earlier this season.
Friday's game is going to be televised by CSS on a delay so we won't have a stream for that game, but we will stream Saturday and Sunday's game.
A new wallpaper has been added to the men's basketball wallpaper page highlighting the Tigers' new men's basketball head coach, Josh Pastner.
Fans can access the wallpaper page by clicking here or by going to the men's basketball page.
Wow, it's early. I'm sitting at AutoZone park at little before 8:00 this morning getting ready for our 10:00 game with UCF. Hope that some of you can take and early lunch and come on over. This should be very much like a Sunday game or an early conference tournament game, the first team to find some energy will likely win.
If you come out, you'll get to see our new home pinstripe Nike uniforms.
