Hello everyone, it's All-Star time in baseball throughout the country and the Tigers are represented well.

Drew Martinez (CBHS) was named the Valley League North All Star MVP, despite a 1-0 loss to the South. Heath Hatfield (Bartlett) also pitched a scoreless inning for the North with a strikeout. Brach Davis started for Team NECBL against the US Military team on July 5th and will participate the NECBL All-Star game this Saturday.

Make sure you tune into ESPN2 on Wednesday night, former Tiger SS Brent Dlugach is a Triple-A All-Star. Brent is with Toledo of the International League. Brent's father, Mike, still holds the "Iron Man" record for Memphis playing in 149 consecutive games from 1970-1973.

Finally, Memphian Matt Cain, who signed with Memphis but went pro after being drafted 25th overall, will represent the National League in Tuesday's Major League All Star Game.

Went out on my run this morning and passed the AOB, they're tearing up the asphalt on the parking lot. So it looks like the work has begun.

Here's a mid-summer look at our Tiger baseball pros. Also, went by FedEx Park the other day and the steelwork is up for the PressBox addition to the grandstand, you can start seeing it take shape now.
