Fall sports are definitly cranking up. Congrats to Brooks Monaghan and the women's soccer team on their 2-0 win Friday at #25 LSU, that win helped propel them into the 25th spot this week. The Lady Tiger host UALR Friday at 7pm.

Richie Grant's Tiger Soccer club shut-out CBU 3-0 Sunday and will host #21 St. Louis tommorrow night at Echles Field. Pretty fun getting to go back out to Echles to watch games and they've drawn good crowds out there as well.

You can get a sneak peak at Volleyball tomorrow in the Blue/Grey scrimmage at 7:00 at the Elma Roane Fieldhouse.

We taped our first All-Access Shows this morning with both soccer coaches as well as volleyball. They should be up on the team home-pages this afternoon.

Hard to believe that I'm starting my 7th year back at the University. A final fact, I turned 37 last week which means that from now on, any incoming freshman on a team I call games for was born the year, or after, I graduated Harding Academy....I'm now starting to feel old.

There's less than three weeks until football, but the fall sports season got underway this past weekend. Had a chance to go out an watch the women's soccer team play it's exhibition match with Samford at Echles Field. It was a warm afternoon, but nice to watch a game on campus, Echles was the home of Tiger soccer back when I was in school. Memphis shut-out the Bulldogs 2-0 and will open the season this Friday at LSU. The men will face Lambuth on Wednesday at Echles.

We should be starting our first All-Access shows next Tuesday with both Soccer coaches, Brooks Monaghan and Richie Grant, as well as Volleyball coach April Jauregui. Think I'll head over and watch football practice this afternoon, they started two-a-days this morning.

Can't say enough how much I LOVE living in the University of Memphis neighborhood, makes it so easy to go to practices and other University events.

Fun weekend coming up, as we get the first taste of Tiger Sports for the new seasons. Tonight is the Highland Hundred Kickoff Banquet at the Holiday Inn on Campus. Great group of supporters of which I am a proud member. Then tomorrow we get our first look at the two-time defending conference champion women's soccer team when they face Samford at Echles Field at 1:00 in an exhibition match. Coach Monoghan should have another contender this year as he has won the previous two titles with a lot of freshmen and sophmores; he's really got a good thing going.
