Hey everyone, good road trip to Mizzou! We really got to see what the women's basketball team can be during the second half when they came back and outscored MU 51-33 to win 75-74 after being down by as many as 20 in the first. Hopefully, they can take that momentum into the game on Sunday when they host UT-Martin at the Elma Roane Fieldhouse. It will be a chance to get back to .500 at 2-2. A note, the three opponents we've played are a combined 7-1 with the only loss being Mizzou's loss to us. Glad to get all the emails during Wednesday's game, keep them coming at MEMPHISRADIO@HOTMAIL.COM and I hope you enjoyed following the events of the road-trip on Twitter at WWW.TWITTER.COM/MEMPHISRADIO

Tonight I'll be filling in on the men's broadcast, with Dave Woloshin travelling to Houston for tommorrow's football game, I'll be calling the game. This is the second year in a row I've filled-in, calling all three games in Puerto Rico last year. As always, the men's basketball games are on WREC 600am, pregame begins at 6:00.

Tough start for the women's basketball team so far. The Tigers fought hard but just came up short against Indiana on Friday night at FedExForum, then trailed the entire game against Murray State before falling on Sunday at the Elma Roane Fieldhouse.

Sometimes a change of scenery can be good, and hopefully that plays out when we face Missouri in Columbia tomorrow at 6:30. Columbia is one of the great college towns and I'll be close to where I moved when I graduated Memphis.

Just about 30 miles north is Moberly, home of the MACC Greyhounds. The Hounds are one of the elite Junior Colleges in basketball , coach's who have been there include Cottom Fitzimmons and Charlie Spoonhour, NBA All-Star Mitch Richmond got his start there as well.

As I said, this is the first road trip for the women's team, so I'm sure everyone is like me, making sure they have everything they need.

Sitting at the airport before I leave with the football team on the trip to Knoxville, so I thought I'd check in.

The first and only women's basketball exhibition is this Sunday at 2:00 at the Elma Roane Fieldhouse against the Houston Jaguars. It will likely be a very tough game, because the Jaguars are loaded with talent. I was working on my charts for the game this week and it seemed everyone on the Jaguars roster was All-Conference and a few have played some pro ball as well. It also features two Conference Players of the year. But, I do like the idea of having a challenging exibition, win or lose. It lets you know where you are and what you need to do, instead of just rolling over some team and not getting much accomplished.

The games will once again be broadcast on the University's station, WUMR 91.7fm. The games have been on U-92 for over two decades. Station manager Malvin Massey, Sports Director Andrew Vandeventer, and the staff do a great job working with me and the athletic department to put these games on. Being, and Alum of Memphis and coming through the radio department as a student, I really appreciate what they do. You can follow on-line with an ALL-ACCESS subscription through www.GOTIGERSGO.COM.

As usual, feel free to email me during games at MEMPHISRADIO@HOTMAIL.COM
