What a great weekend for the baseball and women's basketball.
Baseball opened FedExPark with a series split over #38 Middle Tennessee, the weather was great for the first two games and the Tiger fans responded with two good crowds. I've heard nothing but good things from everyone who was able to go. I went out Sunday to watch, but apparently brought rain and lightning with me, the game was called in the fourth. Thanks again to Andrew Vandeventer for filling in on the broadcast while I was out, he'll be back in a few weeks.

Women's basketball earned a split, on what I think, was the toughest road trip in conference with a thrilling win at UTEP Saturday night. The team wore their pink uniforms again and are now 2-0 in  the Nike Pink uniforms. The Tigers (9-4) are now in second place by two games, over three teams that are all 7-6. We'll wrap up the regular season this weekend with a game against Marshall Thursday in the Elma Roane Field House and Saturday against ECU at FedExForum.
Baseball is on the road Tuesday at 4:00 at UT-Martin, it will be the first time I've been to Skyhawk Field since 2005 and my first look at their new lights. We'll face a former Tiger, Dylan Cupples who pitched for our 2007 NCAA Regional team. The game will be on WUMR at 3:45.
