Congrats to Melissa McFerrin and her Tigers! Women's Basketball finished in a tie for second place, our highest finish in a decade and a great jump from last year's ninth-place finish. It's been amazing what has been accomplished in less than two seasons. Now, it's off to the GMC Sierra Conference USA tournament in Tulsa next week. The Tigers are the #4 seed and will face either 5th seeded ECU or 12th seeded Southern Miss on Tuesday at 2:30.

This is one of my favorite times of the year, because I'm bouncing  back and forth between several teams. Tuesday night, I called the baseball game at Ole Miss, then drove to Birmingham for the Men's Basketball game with UAB on Wednesday. Then, I stayed the night to call the Women's game on Thursday. Following our Monday baseball game with Portland, I'll drive over to Tulsa to catch up with women's basketball at the tournament.

Speaking of baseball, Coach Rock's Tigers have a four-game homestand starting this afternoon. Memphis will host Oakland at FedExPark today at 4, Saturday at 2, and Sunday at 1. Then, the Tigers will play a rare Monday game when they host Portland at Noon.  The weather is supposed to be great this weekend, sunny with high's around 60.

So, hope I see you at FedExPark this weekend, then in Tulsa next week.
