It's day two of the Conference USA Tournament. One word could describe day one, HOT. It will be that way again today, and we'll play in the heat of the day when we face Marshall at 3:00.

You have to tip your cap to Southern Miss' Scott Copeland, he improved to 10-0 with his 8-inning performance yesterday in their 8-2 win over the Tigers. In the 17 innings he pitched against us in the last week, he only gave up 1 earned run.

Memphis won 2 of 3 at Marshall earlier this year and it's the first time we've faced the Herd in the tournament.

Not sure if I'm liking the new format, because if Southern Miss beats East Carolina at 11 this morning, we're already eliminated before we play our second game. To win our pod now, we have to beat Marshall and ECU, and, Southern Miss must lose its next two games.

You do a great job with Tiger baseball. As a UM grad (Jan 1960) I take great pride in UM accomplishments. You are a great example of accomplishment on the part of people connected with UM. I think on one of the broadcasts you said you were a UM alum. If I am mistaken, I apologize. If you are not, I wish you were.

Congratulations on a doing a great job. I look foward to listening to you next season.
