It's been an up and down year for the Tigers as they find themselves in first place in CUSA with 20 games left, but on the bubble for an NCAA. We're coming off a sweep at UAB, following three straight losses.

As the song says, "On the Road Again". That's where I'll be the next two weeks as basketball and baseball overlap. It's an annual ritual for me and many other broadcasters this time of year. It's a lot of travel but I love my job and wouldn't have it any other way.

The non-conference portion of our Women's Basketball season is done and we've finished at 11-3. The team is off to its best start in over a decade, but I still don't believe we've peaked yet, which is good.

Memphis baseball is wrapping up their fall season and one thing has stood out to me, the new "dead" bats. The new NCAA standards for bats go into effect on January 1st, 2011, but most, if not all, college teams have been using them this fall.

Things are about to get real busy with basketball/football overlap quickly approaching. Hope to see everyone this week at homecoming activities.

For the third straight year, I'll be the emcee for the M-Club Hall of Fame Banquet on Friday at the Holiday Inn on campus. Thanks to Frank Fletcher for asking me to do this again.

The weather is finally cooling off which means it should be a great day for the football game on Saturday against Tulsa. The season seems to be going by fast this year, probably because we've been on the road three of the first four games including the long trip to El Paso.
