The athletic subcommittee of the University's Board of Visitors stated today that an on-campus stadium is a terrific idea and would hope that a facility could be built sometime in the future. However, after reviewing the study, the committee did not feel that a new stadium is practical at this time and is recommending that the institution not move forward in the construction of an on-campus facility.

The committee will remain intact and will continue to review, with Athletic Director R.C. Johnson, future issues involving an on-campus stadium.
