IRVING, Texas - The University of Memphis athletics teams are winning on the fields and courts of play, and they are also producing great results in the classroom, as evidenced by the 2012 Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll announced Tuesday.

The Tigers athletics department placed a school-record 218 student-athletes on the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll. Student-athletes named to the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or better.

It is the sixth-consecutive year the number of Memphis C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll recipients has increased. Last year, the Tigers had 186 student-athletes earn the recognition.
