Alumni Association to Hold Pep Rally Monday in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The University of Memphis Alumni Association will kick off the championship game between Memphis and Kansas with a TRUE BLUE Pep Rally Round-Up at the Crowne Plaza Riverwalk (Team Hotel - 111 Pecan Street East) on Monday at high noon, just before all of the other NCAA sponsored events.
The Mighty Sound of the South band, cheerleaders and Pouncer will be in attendance. Fans will receive commemorative NCAA Championship stickers, pom-poms, snacks, drinks and TRUE TIGER BLUE spirit!
Special guests include University President Dr. Shirley Raines, Athletic Director R.C. Johnson and Alumni Association National Executive Board of Directors and Chapter and Club Presidents!

The University of Memphis Athletic Marketing Department, through its on campus promotion group the Tiger Task Force, is partnering with the Blue Crew and the Sport Marketing Association to host the Championship Game Watch Party at the Elma Roane Fieldhouse on campus Monday at 7 p.m. The event is free to the public and will feature free food, prizes, games, and various giveaways.
A limited number of 2007-08 men's basketball media guides are on sale through the official University of Memphis Athletic Department website. The books are $20 each plus shipping and handling charges and are only available through the website.
