CAAS April Student-Athlete Scholars of the Month

Tiger student-athletes are wrapping up the semester with quite the impression on the CAAS staff. Junior Max Burkhardt and freshmen Christian Novak and Robby Young have all three been named April's Student-Athlete of the Month by the CAAS staff.
Max Burkhardt, junior on the rifle squad from Denver, Colo., is just as successful in the classroom as he is in his respective sport. Burkhardt is majoring in Political Science with a minor in History and has earned a 3.0 GPA the last three semesters. Burkhardt constantly keeps his advisor informed and checks in with the staff. Not only is he performing well in the classroom, but also Burkhardt recently finished 4th overall in the NCAA Tournament.
Christian Novak, freshman softball player from Nevada, Mo., is also keeping a high GPA during her busy athletic season. Majoring in Apparel and Accessory Merchandise, Novak maintains a 3.93 GPA and is always on top of her work. Novak is known for her positive attitude and responsible nature by the CAAS staff and is always a please to work with.
Robby Young, redshirt freshman football player from Memphis, Tenn., is taking ownership of his academics that the CAAS staff notices. Young not only shows up for all appointments and meets all commitments, but also does his own work outside of his study hall hours. Young has cumulated above a 3.0 GPA and always has a positive attitude and communication skills.
These student-athletes are a true asset to their respective sports and their academic programs. The future is looking bright for these athletes as they wrap of the semester, and we can see big things from them in the future. Congratulations to these athletes!
