Memphis, TN - Allie Prescott, whose name as become synonymous with athletics in the Memphis and Mid-South region, has been hired as a consultant in the Tiger Scholarship Fund (TSF) office. Prescott began his new duties in athletics on November 1.

"Allie Prescott is one of the most well-respected and highly-recognized individuals in Memphis athletic circles," said Tiger Athletic Director R.C. Johnson. "He is also a former Tiger athlete and supporter and I could not think of a better individual to assist us with our major gifts campaign.

"With all of our current building projects and new campaigns that are under way, we have quite a few naming rights opportunities," Johnson stated. "I could not have thought of any individual more qualified than Allie Prescott to help us expand and grow our major gifts area."

Prescott, who will work as a consultant, will report to Associate Athletic Director Bill Lansden, but will not maintain an office in the TSF Department.

"I am delighted to be able to return to the University of Memphis and offer my assistance to my university," Prescott stated. "I spent seven years on this campus as a Tiger athlete and later as a coach and hold a double degree from the U of M. Now, I am able to give back to this institution at a time when all of the athletic programs are doing quite well. I am really excited to get started."
