Brian Crawford was recently hired as an intern for the athletic media relations department for the 2008-09 school year. Crawford graduated in May of 2008 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a bachelor's degree in recreation, sport, and tourism with a focus in sport management. While attending Illinois, Crawford spent one year working in the University of Illinois athletic media relations office. During that time he was a secondary contact for Illinois women's basketball as well as Track & Field and assisted with the 2008 Big Ten Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Champaign, Ill. He worked in the press area for all football and men's basketball home games and also helped in the coverage of 2008 spring football for Illinois. During the summer of 2008, he was a summer intern for Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in the athletic media relations office where he helped compile the first men's and women's soccer and volleyball media guides. Crawford is from Pinckneyville, Ill. He is a member of CoSIDA. |
