Dwight Boyd took over as the M Club Director in September of 2012.

"We are delighted to have Dwight Boyd join the athletic department staff as our M Club director," said Athletics Director Tom Bowen. "He played a large role in the accomplishments of the Tiger basketball teams in the 1980's and has remained a loyal supporter of our athletic programs in his previous position with Pepsi. His name alone lends credibility to our letterman's club and we anticipate an immediate impact".

Boyd, a native of Memphis, Tennessee, lettered for the Tiger basketball team from 1984-88. He appeared in 135 games during his four-year career and scored 1,249 points. He averaged 15.2 points per game as a senior and remains the 21st ranked scorer in Memphis basketball history. The Tigers had a combined record of 105-30 during his career and played in three NCAA Post Season Tournaments, including the Final Four in 1985.

Following graduation, Boyd began a career in the marketing division with Pepsi Cola and worked for 22 years with the soft drink giant.
