Letterman's association tournament slated for Aug. 29th

Dwight Boyd returned to his alma mater as the director of the M Club in September of 2012.

Prior to joining the Memphis athletic department staff, the Tiger basketball letterman and M Club Hall of Fame inductee, had worked 22 years for Pepsi Cola, beginning his career with the soft drink giant's marketing division.

Boyd, a Memphis native and graduate of Kirby High School, lettered for the Tiger basketball team from 1984-88. He appeared in 135 games during his career, scoring 1,249 points. He averaged 15.2 points per game as a senior.

During Boyd's playing career, Memphis had a combined 105-30 record and played in three NCAA Tournaments, advancing to the Final Four in 1985.
