Eric Sabin was named the University of Memphis' Athletics Business Manager in June, 2013. In his role, Sabin has oversight of business operations, game operations, equipment services, ticket financial operations and additional responsibilities with internal projects.
Sabin had worked the previous four years at San Jose State University including the last two years in business operations. Prior to his tenure in San Jose State's business office, Sabin had served the university as an assistant equipment manager.
Among his duties in the business office at San Jose State was the management of accounts receivable/accounts payable functions to ensure the accurate processing of funding for the university's sports teams and departments. He also worked with the university purchasing department on bid processing, contracting and planning for long term financial goals and provided expense budget and forecasting support as well as helped develop fiscal year budgets for sports and departments.
Prior to joining the San Jose State staff, Sabin was an assistant football equipment manager at his alma mater, Florida State University.
Sabin earned his bachelor's degree in Finance from Florida State University in 2007. He also earned his Master's in Sport Commerce from the University of Memphis in 2012.
