Eric Sabin was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director of Business Operations in June, 2014 previously serving as the University of Memphis Athletics' Business Manager since June, 2013. In his role, Sabin has oversight of business operations, sports medicine, equipment operations, IT services, ticket financial operations and additional responsibilities with internal projects. He also serves as sport administrator for men's golf, women's golf and rifle and assumes the role of home game administrator for football and men's basketball operations.
Prior to coming to Memphis Sabin worked in the athletics business office for San Jose State University Athletics, joining them in 2012. Prior to his tenure in San Jose State's business office, Sabin had served the university as an assistant equipment manager for men's and women's basketball. Among his duties in the business office at San Jose State was the management of accounts receivable/accounts payable functions for the university's sports teams and departments. He also worked with the university purchasing department on bid processing, contracting and planning for long term financial goals and provided expense budget and forecasting support as well as helped develop fiscal year budgets for sports and departments.
Prior to joining the San Jose State staff, Sabin was an assistant football equipment manager at his alma mater, Florida State University after previously serving as a student equipment manager for Florida State football from 2003 to 2007.
Sabin attended Florida State University on an athletic scholarship and earned his bachelor's degree in Finance in 2007. He also earned his Master's in Sport Commerce from the University of Memphis in 2012.
