Bryan McEldowney joined the athletic media relations department in August, 2011 as an intern after serving as a volunteer intern in Xavier University's sports information department last year. He is serving as the primary contact for men's soccer and men's tennis, the secondary contact for softball and will assist with other duties as assigned. McEldowney is a member of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). During his time at Xavier, McEldowney worked primarily with men's basketball, but also assisted with women's basketball, men's soccer, and volleyball. In addition to his duties with the sports information department he spent time tutoring student-athletes at Xavier. Prior to transitioning into athletic communications, McEldowney spent seven years as a high school physics teacher in Cincinnati and Cleveland, Ohio. He coached basketball for six years, one as an assistant men's basketball coach at Cincinnati Christian University and the rest as a high school assistant coach. McEldowney holds three degrees, including a Masters of Education in Sport Administration from Xavier University and a Masters of Education in Adolescent/Young Adult from the University of Dayton. McEldowney is married to the former Anne Feight. |
