University of Memphis Athletics should be easily attainable to our fans. Plans to expand the Athletic Office Building will provide easier access to tickets and Memphis Tiger history. A new addition will be built on to the current facility,and adjacent to convenient parking. Inside will be a new ticket office, development office and an Athletic Hall of Fame that will showcase the entire legacy of Memphis Tiger sports.

On August 21, 2008, former men's basketball player Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway announced a million dollar donation for the naming rights for the Hall of Fame project. The Hall of Fame will now be called the Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway Hall of Fame. The donation is the largest single donation to the University of Memphis Atheltic Department by a former University of Memphis student-athlete to date.
