Skyhawk Invitational Results Get Acrobat Reader

MARTIN, Tenn. - Junior Dan Hermsmeier topped the leaderboard in both the air and smallbore competitions to lead Memphis to a Skyhawk Invitational title with an aggregate score of 2,605 (2278 SB/2327 AR).

Hermsmeier shot a personal best 594 in air and led small bore with a 582.

The Tigers' depth proved too strong for the field at the Skyhawk invitational with five shooters posting top ten scores in smallbore and air rifle.

Along with Hermsmeier at the top, senior Kelly Audet and sophomore Max Burkhardt finished two and three in air. Audet shooting a 582 and Burkhardt posting 581.

Sophomore Maya Arredondo and freshman Beth Lee rounded out Memphis top five air rifle scores coming in at nine and ten with 570 and 566 respectively.

The smallbore competitions was dominated by the Tigers as well; again with Hermsmeier, Burkhardt and Audet posting top five scores. Burkhardt followed Hermsmeier at the three spot with a 570 and Audet's 567 was good enough for a fifth place finish.

Freshman Nate Brandeburg and junior Jimmy Zaken posted the ninth and tenth best scores, Brandeburg with a 559 and Zaken a 558.

The No. 10 Tigers now get set to take on Nebraska at the Withrow Invitational in Murray, Kentucky on February 2.
