MURRAY, KY. - The University of Memphis rifle squad finished seventh at the NCAA Sectional hosted by Murray State.

Beth Tidmore led the squad with her best smallbore score ever at 1136. She shot a 389 in air rifle for a season-high aggregate score of 1525.

J.B. Vaughan had his best day with a smallbore total of 1107 and an aggregate of 1485. He shot a 374 in the air rifle division. Also shooting well for Memphis in the smallbre event was Bobby LeBlanc and Charity Koone who posted scores of 1055 and 1052, respectively.

The air rifle team of Tidmore, Vaughan, Koone and Justin Cabaniss recorded a team score of 5857.

"I was disappointed in the scores for this one match," said coach Butch Woolbright. "As far as the whole season goes, we have come a long way. I am looking forward to next season because the whole team is expected to return."
