Lexington, Ky. - - Despite season personal bests from three shooters in smallbore and a season best and a tied season best in air rifle, the University of Memphis rifle squad fell 4656-4592, in a neutral site match at the University of Kentucky.

The Tigers had three personal bests in the smallbore event, with Jenna Quick (575), Luke Ryerkerk (563) and Keegan Singleton (575) all posting career bests. Memphis finished with a 2272 in the smallbore counting a 561 from Andrew Hahn.

In the air event, Kaitlyn Lee posted a career high with a 577. Keegan Singleton and Jenna Quick tied their respective personal records with a 581 and a 583, respectively, while Andrew Hahn added a 579 for a team score of 2320 in the air rifle event.

Competing as an independent shooter, Jessica Phenis also posted a career high in the smallbore, scoring a 562.

Memphis' team score of 4592 was the high aggregate score of the year for Memphis.

The Tigers next participate in the Newkirk Invitational at UT Martin.
