MARTIN, Tenn. - - The University of Memphis rifle squad posted the high score in the smallbore competition with a 2240 at the UT Martin Invitational, finishing ahead of UT Martin Mixed (2212), Rose Hulman (2160) and UT Martin women (2117).

The Tigers then scored the second-highest team score in the air rifle, scoring a 2286, finishing single-digit points behind the UT Martin Mixed team's 2294 that won the event.

Three Tigers either set or tied career bests in the air rifle event, and one Tiger set a season-high. Kaitlynn Lee and Rustin Russell each scored career-bests with a 578 and 573, respectively. Jenna Quick tied her career best with a 583 for the highest individual score of the meet, while Luke Ryerkerk scored a season-best with a 565.

Memphis will now return home to host its own Tiger Invitational.
