MEMPHIS, Tenn. - - The University of Memphis rifle team edged conference foe N.C. State, 4555-4515, in Great American Rifle Conference action. The Tigers out-scored the Wolfpack 2245-2228 in the smallbore and 2310-2287 in the air rifle for the win.

In smallbore, Keegan Singleton led Memphis with a 565. Rustin Russell scored a 561 and Jenna Quick added a 560, while Kaitlynn Lee added a career-best 559 to give Memphis 2,245 points. Competing as individuals, Andrew Hahn finished third with a 563, while Jessica Phenis scored a 553, finishing eighth overall. Luke Ryerkerk (548), Alex Watson (546) and Amelia Stacey (489) rounded out the Memphis individual competitors.

In the air event, freshman Jenna Quick posted the second-best overall score, with a 581, while Andrew Hahn also fired a 581, finishing third. Keegan Singleton and Rustin Russell rounded out the top five with a 575 and a 574, while Kaitlynn Lee added a seventh-best score of 573. Alex Watson posted a season-best score of 571 and Amelia Stacey posted a career-best score of 569. Jessica Phenis (568), Greg Morton (566) and Luke Ryerkerk (565) rounded out the Memphis scores.

 

 

Memphis will next compete in the Withrow Invitational.
