MURRAY, Ky. - - In a shoot that was added to replace the cancelled Birmingham Southern match and the cancelled Withrow Invitational, the University of Memphis rifle team lost 2307-2287 at Murray State.

Memphis outscored Murray in the air event, 2307-2287, but could not close the cap from the smallbore scores, 2274-2247.

Jenna Quick and Rustin Russell each scored 581s in the air event, ranking second and third, respectively, while Keegan Singleton added a 580. Jenna Quick rounded out the Memphis scorers with a 577.

Murray had the top three individual scores in the smallbore part of the competition. Keegan Singleton had Memphis' highest smallbore score, finishing with a 567, while Jessica Phenis was fifth overall with a 566. Rustin Russell (564), Jenna Quick (560), Andrew Hahn (556) and Kaitlynn Lee (556) rounded out the Memphis scorers.

Memphis will next compete in the NCAA Regionals, held at Ole Miss.
