CHARLESTON, W.V. - The University of Memphis rifle team was edged 4560-4545 in a dual meet at West Virginia Virginia, Monday. The team shot a 2262 in the smallbore event and a 2283 in the air rifle portion of the event, but it was not enough to catch West Virginia, who posted a 2264 in the smallbore and a 2296 in air rifle.

Brian Phillips led Memphis in the smallbore, scoring a 575. He was followed by Andrew Hahn's 565, and Keegan Singleton's 563. Jessica Jasis rounded out the team shooters with a 559 in smallbore, but led the team with a 582 in the air rifle portion of the meet. Freshman Keegan Singleton added a 572 in the air rifle, followed by Andrew Hahn's 570 and Brian Phillips' 559.

The Tigers continue their road trip at Army, Tuesday.
