Memphis v Columbus St. Results Get Acrobat Reader

Ft. Benning, Ga. - Junior Dan Hermsmeier put together a pair of first place performances in smallbore and air rifle competitions, leading Memphis past Columbus State 4607-4527.

Hermsmeier posted a 579 in the smallbore competition and a 591 in the air rifle, besting all shooters. The Tigers dominated the match throughout, taking four of the top five spots in smallbore and three of the top five in air.

Sophomore Max Burkhardt finished only four points behind Hermsmeier in smallbore, shooting a 575, while senior Kelly Audet (567) and freshman Nathan Brandeburg (563) finished third and fifth respectfully.

In the air rifle competition, Audet put together another top three finish, just eight points behind Hermsmeier for second place. Freshman Elizabeth Lee continued her strong freshman campaign shooting 580 for a fifth place finish.

Burkhardt rounded out the Tigers' top 10 finishers in air with a seventh place showing, shooting a 569.

The Tigers traveled to Jacksonville, Alabama on Sunday November 18 for the Gamecock Invitational to take some of the nation's best. Results will be posted soon.
