Memphis Rifle Earns All-Conference Honors

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis Rifle student-athletes Dan Hermsmeier, Amy Fister, Elizabeth Lee and head coach Butch Woolbright have each earned all-conference honors, the Great American Rifle Conference (GARC) announced this week.

Hermsmeier was named a Smallbore All-Conference First Team selection, an Air Rifle All-Conference First Team selection and a Combined All-Conference First Team selection. The senior was one of three student-athletes to make the first team in all three categories.

Fister, a freshman, was a Smallbore Honorable Mention selection. The Kutztown, Pa. native posted top-30 finishes in both Smallbore and Air Rifle at the GARC Championships last month.

Lee earned an Air Rifle Honorable Mention selection, and was also named a GARC Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

Woolbright was named the GARC’s Coach of the Year, and coach Woolbright has now been named coach of the year in the Great Midwest Conference, Conference USA and the Great American Rifle Conference.

The No. 6 Memphis Rifle team will compete in the NCAA Championships March 14-15 at the Pat Spurgin Rifle Range and the CFSB Center in Murray, Ky.
