The University of Memphis rifle team finished second behind Jacksonville State in the Tiger Open hosted at RangeMaster.

Memphis finished with an aggregate score of 4601 for the second-place finish while JSU tallied a 4630. Ole Miss' Red team placed third with a score of 4597, while UTEP and Tennessee Tech rounded out the top 5 with scores of 4564 and 4496, respectively.

The Tigers did, however, take the top spot in the Air Rifle division with a total of 2348. Andrew Hahn led Memphis in air with a score of 589, followed by Krissey Bahnsen who posted a 588. Jessica Jasis shot 587 and Katie Benjamin finished with a 584. JSU placed second in air with a 2341, while UTEP (2300), Murray State-Gold (2299) and Ole Miss-Red (2297) completed the top five in air rifle.

Only five teams fielded a smallbore team as Ole Miss-Red won the smallbore division with a score of 2300. JSU and UTEP were No. 2 and No. 3 with scores of 2289 and 2264, respectively. The Tigers placed fourth with a 2253 and Tennessee Tech posted a score of 2240 for the fifth-place finish.

JSU's Joseph Hall and James Hall tied for the smallbore title, while Joseph Hall took the air rifle title with a score of 593 which was just one point ahead of James Hall. Memphis' top shooter in smallbore was Bahnsen, while Hahn led the Tigers in air and placed fourth overall in air.
