OXFORD, MISS. - Junior Beth Tidmore won her third straight rifle match, firing off a 591 out of a possible 600 in Oxford, Miss., in the competition between Memphis, Xavier and Ole Miss.

In the match, Tidmore had two 100s and a 99 en route to her third individual air rifle this season. She previously won the Ole Miss Invitational as well as the Tiger Open. Katie Benjamin also placed in the top 10 for Memphis with a 578 air rifle score, which was good for sixth place. J.B. Vaughan was 14th while Brian Phillips and Bobbie Lee Prewit ranked 19th and 22nd, respectively in air.

The Tigers as a team placed second in air rifle with a team score of 2301, following a tie breaker that ended in Ole Miss taking the No. 1 spot. Memphis struggled a bit in smallbore, shooting 2238, which landed them fourth overall in the match. Xavier University took the top three smalbore individual honors, as Benjamin was the top U of M shooter with a score of 573 as the No. 8 smallbore shooter. Tidmore was 12th, while Phillips and Vaughan were 18th and 21st.
