MEMPHIS, TENN. - The University of Memphis Rifle squad placed third in both the smallbore and air rifle competitions at the Tennessee Tech Invitational. The 20th ranked Tigers were led in both events by freshman team captain Beth Tidmore.

Tidmore placed third overall in the air rifle competition and led Memphis with a total of 391, which was a personal best for the Decatur, Ga., native. In air rifle, Charity Koone and Justin Cabaniss followed Tidmore with scores of 362 and 361, respectively. J.B. Vaughan was fourth for Memphis with a 375, and Bobby LeBlanc and J.C. Faircloth rounded out the Tigers with scores of 359 and 339.

Memphis also placed third in smallbore with a team score of 4341. Tidmore led the Tigers with a score of 1113. Cabaniss was second for Memphis with a 1087 while Vaughan and Koone placed third and fourth for the Tigers with totals of 1072 and 1069.
