2003: Returned following arm and knee injuries in 2002, to pitch in 20 games for the Tigers...Made 11 starts and compiled a 4-6 record while leading the team with three saves...Fourth on the team with 41 strikeouts in 49 innings of work...Won the Tigers' season-opener allowing just one hit and striking out three in three innings of work vs. Air Force...Picked up his second win of the season in a 24-1 victory over UT-Martin allowing just a walk in two innings of work...His third win came in relief of a 6-2 victory over Middle Tennessee...Logged season-highs in innings (4.1) and strikeouts (6) in relief at Austin Peay...Matched his season-high with six strikeouts and picked up win No. 4 after tossing 3.1 innings of scoreless relief in a 4-2 win in game two of the Saint Louis series...Picked up saves in three-consecutive appearances in league play including two in the Tigers' first-ever series win over Houston...Also saved a 2-1 victory over USF...Allowed just one earned run in his final six appearances spanning 13.1 innings.

All four of his wins came over Conference USA opponents...Scattered seven hits and surrendered only two earned runs against Charlotte for his first collegiate victory.

Prep: Lettered four years for head coach and former Tiger Jim Heinz at Evangelical Christian... A stellar two-way player, he batted .497 with 56 RBI and 13 home runs and posted a 6-3 record on the hill as a senior...Drafted in the 49th round by the Atlanta Braves in 2000... A tremendous all-around athlete, he won state championships for both baseball and football and was an All-State pick in both sports...Named the Commercial Appeal Best of the Preps Male Athlete of the Year as a senior.
