Baseball improves to 25-26 on season with win at Missouri
Prep A four-year letterwinner as a dual-position standout at Independence High...Excelled both on the mound and at the plate to help lead the Eagles to their second-straight District 11-AAA title in 2010...The power pitcher went 5-1 with a stingy 1.80 ERA...Added 47 strikeouts in just 35 innings to garner All-District and Pitcher of the Year honors...Highlighted his junior campaign with an eight-strikeout performance to earn the win in the District Championship game...Hit 11 home runs over his last two prep seasons...Hit a team-best six home runs as a sophomore in 2009 and led the team with five round-trippers in 2010...Was selected to play for Team Tennessee in the 2010 Junior Sunbelt Classic Baseball Tournament...Picked up the win in Tennessee's march past Team Canada on its way to the JSC Tournament championship game...Also played for the Kansas City Royal Scout Team in 2009 and 2010.
