As a team manager, Wiedman will assist handling the day-to-day demands, equipment and practice needs of the U of M players and coaches.
A native of Memphis, Tenn., Wiedman is the younger brother of former Tiger slugger Trey Wiedman. The son of Tom and Denise Wiedman, Sam lettered for two seasons as an outfielder for Head Coach Lane McCarter's Mustangs before taking on the squad's managerial duties. Wiedman graduated from Houston High School in 2009.
