Baseball Downed By No. 14 Ole Miss, 12-0

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Memphis baseball dropped its fourth-straight decision with 12-0 loss to No. 14 Ole Miss at AutoZone Park tonight in front of an announced crowd of 3,354. The last time the Tigers dropped four in a row was during 14-game drought that closed the 2000 season, when the Tigers finished 15-37. Ole Miss out-hit the Tigers by an 18-1 margin. Sophomore second baseman Michael Lewis had the lone Memphis hit. Four Tiger pitchers were touched-up for 12 earned runs and junior right-hander Joel Posey (0-2) was tagged with his second loss. Ole Miss outfielder Burney Hutchinson and left fielder Bryce Morrison both had three hits and two home runs for the Rebels.
The Tigers (2-4) are back in action on Friday when they take on Southeastern Missouri at AutoZone Park at 7 p.m.
