Freshman Scott McGregor scattered six hits in six innings and allowed just one run as Memphis won its second-straight game in a 5-1 decision over Southeast Missouri State, Friday afternoon at Nat Buring Stadium. Memphis improves to 10-6 and reaches double-digits in wins 21 games faster than it did in 2005.

K.K. Chalmers got the Memphis offense moving in the first inning with his third triple of the year and seventh of his career. Will Petersen drove him in on an RBI-groundball.

SEMO evened the slate with a run in the third on a sac fly by Asif Shah, but Memphis promptly answered back with a score in fourth.

Cory Barton's two-run blast hit the top of the wall before bouncing out of the ballpark for a 4-1 cushion.

Amar's first career triple led off the eighth inning. The junior first baseman then scored on a groundball to shortstop off the bat of Michael Murray for the 5-1 final.

Dusty Davis pitched two innings of scoreless ball, and Stephen Gostkowski worked a scoreless ninth.

Ben Grisham led Memphis' 14-hit attack with a 3-for-4 performance. Petersen, Bill Moss, Kyle Norrid and Amar each posted two hits for the Tiger offense.

Senior Jamie McAlister was tagged with the loss after allowing four runs on 13 hits in six innings.

The Tigers and Redhawks will meet for the weekend finale on Saturday, with the first pitch scheduled for 2 p.m.
