Memphis downed the first three Alcorn State batters who took to the plate.

Eli Hynes connected for his second homerun of the weekend in the eighth inning, his fifth of the season.

Pitcher Ryan Holland, C-USA's leading pick-off man, notched his seventh pick-off of the season in the top of the second inning.

Adam McClain notched his second triple of the season in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Memphis scored 30 runs in a two-game span for the first time since facing Marshall last season in conference play.

Chad Zurcher had a 15-game hitting streak snapped, but reached base all three times he appeared at the plate. He was walked once and was hit by two different pitchers late in the game. He also led the Tigers' with six assists.
