RHP Jon Reed registered a career high 6.0 IP and career best six strikeouts in quality start. A five run fourth inning sparked the Tigers to a lead and the Tigers came away with the 8-4 win.

• Tigers lead series with SEMO 24-19 since 1978, but SEMO has won four of last six.

SCOUTING THE REDHAWKS

• SEMO is 6-3 on the season having lost a midweek contest at Arkansas State on Tuesday to end a four-game win streak. 
• The Redhwaks swept IPFW and won two of three at Oral Roberts to begin perfect 2-0 in weekend series.
• SEMO is hitting .299 with three home runs and 52 RBI on 91 hits to go with 15 stolen bases in 18 attempts. 
• Matt Tellor and Dalton Hewitt pace the club hitting .333, but Tellor leads the club with a homer and eight RBI.
• Andy Lennington hits .314 and has eight RBI with a team-high four doubles.  
• On the mound, the Redhawks sport a 3.69 ERA with 69 strikeouts against 33 walks.
• Opponents are hitting .257 against the staff with 12 doubles, two triples and two home runs.  

THE SERIES WITH SEMO

• Memphis and SEMO meet in the Bluff City for the first time since March 16, 2008.  
• The Tigers hold a 24-19 edge in the series, but the Redhawks have won four of the last six meetings. 
• SEMO took two out of three in Cape Girardeau last year.  
• Memphis sports a 16-10 record on the home turf against SEMO. 

DON'T BE LATE

• The Tigers have played some quick games this season, two games coming in at under 2:15. 
• Tuesday against Belmont, the game elapsed 2:08 for the shortest game since May 4, 2013 against Marshall, a game that lasted just 1:59. 
• The 2:08 game time ranks third since 2008 in shortest and is the 21st game since 2008 to span less than 2:15. 

250th WIN FOR COACH 'ROCK'
• With Memphis' 2-1 win against Belmont on Feb. 25, head coach Daron Schoenrock achieved a milestone only one previous coach in program history has reached. 
• With the win, Schoenrock earned his 250th victory at Memphis. Only longtime skipper Bobby Kilpatrick has won more games (639) at Memphis. 

RECORD PACE
• The Tigers already have seven saves on the young season, chasing the record of 19 set a season ago. 
• In the record setting 2013 season for saves, Memphis posted its seventh save on April 5 in game No. 29.  
• Since saves appeared in the yearly stats in 1977, the Tigers have matched or bettered the season total of 12 clubs.  

LOOKING AHEAD

• Off to a 7-1 start, history suggests the Tigers may finish the season .500 or better.
•  In each of the 12 seasons since 1948 that the Tigers started 7-1, Memphis finished above .500.   
• Tigers teams to start 7-1 and their final record: 2007 (36-27), 1994 (52-11), 1991 (30-24), 1989 (32-23), 1985 (36-11), 1984 (26-15), 1983 (33-12), 1981 (48-11), 1980 (31-15), 1978 (40-9) and 1963 (21-7-2).
