AVOIDING A BAD STREAK

• The Tigers have lost back-to-back games for the first time this season and look to do something the 2013 club avoided all last year.
• Last season, the Tigers lost back-to-back games eight times, but responded with a win in the next game to avoid losing three-straight.

15 OR FEWER WALKS+HITS THE KEY?
• In the last two losses for the Tigers, the pitching staff has allowed a total of 20 or more base runners on hits plus walks alone.
• So far this season, Memphis is 10-2 when walks plus hits is less than 15 and 2-2 when the number is 15 or higher.
• The two losses when the Tigers allowed 15 or fewer walks/hits came at Samford (3-2) and the 17-inning loss to Central Arkansas (4-2).

RECORD PACE
• The Tigers already have 10 saves on the young season, chasing the record of 19 set a season ago.
• In the record setting 2013 season for saves, Memphis posted its 10th save on April 9 in game No. 32.
• Since saves appeared in the yearly stats in 1977, the Tigers have matched or bettered the season total of 19 clubs.
