PACK THE PARK: All tickets are $1 for Saturday's game. The first 250 fans receive a FREE Memphis Tigers baseball. Chips, Candy, Popcorn and sunflower seeds are also $1. 
• Youth Jersey Saturday: Youth teams that wear their jersey to the game get in for FREE as well as up to three coaches. All other/family/friends will pay the $1 fee. 
• Senior Sunday: Fans 65 and up get in for only $1 on Sunday's all season long.  

AROUND THE HORN

• Memphis is in its 101st year of baseball with a record of 1700-1282-16.  
• Ironman SS Ethan Gross has started in a program-record 172 consecutive games. 
• The Tigers have won a conference opening series once since 2000.   
• Memphis and Temple meet for the first time this weekend.
• Following this four-game homestand, Memphis embarks on a nine-game road swing. 
• Memphis’ upcoming nine-game road swing is the longest since a 10-game trip from March 3 at Mississippi State to March 22 at Louisville in the 1998 season.

SCOUTING THE OWLS

• Temple, in its last season of baseball due to budgetary cuts, carries a 5-9 record on the season. 
• The Owls were scheduled to play two midweek games this week, but both were postponed due to weather.
• Offensively, Temple is hitting .261 with 27 doubles, one triple, two home runs and 57 RBI on 61 runs scored.  
• Daniel Dragos leads the regulars hitting .313 with nine runs scored and four steals.
• Robert Amaro has one home run and a team-high 13 RBI.  
• On the mound, the Owls sport a 5.29 ERA allowing 95 runs, 67 earned, on 129 hits in 114 innings of work.
• The staff has struck out 76 and walked 40 to hold opponents to a .280 average against.   

THE SERIES

• Temple and Memphis meet for the first time on Friday. 
• The Owls are the third first-time opponent the Tigers have faced this season. 

CONFERENCE OPENER

• The Tigers open conference play at home for the first time since 2012, but look for to win the opening conference series for the first time since 2010. 
• Memphis carries a record of 10-18 in the conference opening game dating back to 1986 and hasn’t started 1-0 in conference play since 2010. 
• The Tigers sport a combined record of 32-49 in the opening weekend of conference play dating back to 1986 and has only won one league opening series (2010 vs Rice) since 2000.

• The Tigers are in the midst of a 3-5 slump after starting the season 11-1.

• The Tigers offense carried a .300 slugging percentage over the first 14 games, but sported a 12-2 record in that stretch.

• Memphis is 9-2 at FedExPark, easily the best start since the home turf became FedExPark in 2010.  
• he Tigers 9-2 start at home is the best since the 2007 squad had a 12-2 record before picking up their third home loss. 
• Looking further, the 1996 club was 9-2 before the third home loss and the 1994 club was 19-2 before finishing 21-3 at home that season.
