With the series-opener between Memphis and Tulane cruising into the fourth inning, lightening struck, forcing a 30-minute delay. Rain followed and after an hour and 10-minute delay, the game was officially suspended. The contest is now set to be picked up at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
If the weather permits the completion of game one, game two, which was originally set for 2 p.m., will follow approximately 30 minutes later.
Tulane led the tilt 3-0, with all three runs coming in the third inning. Nick Bullosa led off the inning with a single and Brandon Boudreraux followed with a double. Matt Ryan grounded and two-run single up the middle to get the Wave on the board, 2-0. Rob Segedin then drove Ryan home with a sacrifice fly.
