MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Chase Joiner picked up an additional weekly accolade on Tuesday as he appeared on the CollegeBaseball360's Primetime Performers Weekly Honor Roll.

Behind Joiner's complete-game effort clinched the three-game series over No. 7 UCF, the highest-ranked opponent the Tigers have ever beaten in a three-game set. He struck out four, walked two batters and scattered five hits. After facing trouble over the first three innings, Joiner retired 13 of the next 14 batters before a double by Ronnie Richardson with one out in the eighth. He escaped the jam in the eighth with a runner stranded at second and a double in the ninth put the pressure on, but that base runner was stranded at third. Joiner stranded four runners in scoring position in the game and allowed one runner to reach third base.

Joiner became the sixth pitcher in program history to record two complete-game shutouts in one season. With the complete-game shutout on Sunday, he became the first player to do so since Collins Day achieved the feat in 1994. Joiner is the third Tiger to be recognized by CB360 joining T.J. Rich (1B-4/11/11) and Brennon Martin (LHP-3/31/10).

CollegeBaseballInsider.com also tabbed the University of Memphis Baseball Team the Central Region Team of the Week. The Tigers collected three wins over ranked opponents over the week, with a 4-2 victory over No. 18 Ole Miss and two wins at No. 7 UCF (6-5, 1-0). The three wins over a top-15 opponent in a 10-day span was a program first and it also marked the first time the Tigers had three or more wins over the same span since the 2007 squad swept No. 29 Southern Miss and won two games at No. 21 Tulane.

The Tigers host their final home series of the season beginning Friday. First pitch is slated for 6:30 p.m. against the Blazers of UAB.
