Memphis, Tenn. - The University of Memphis baseball team will host the University of Cincinnati in a three-game Conferene USA series starting Friday at Nat Buring Stadium. The three-game set pitting the Tigers and Bearcats will be the first between the two teams since the 2002 season when Memphis swept UC in Cincinnati.

Memphis will honor 11 seniors before Sunday's game three which is scheduled for 1 p.m. Game two is slated to start at 2 p.m., on Saturday.

The Tigers (22-25, 10-13 C-USA) will look to snap a season-long, seven-game losing streak in game one of the series with first pitch set for 7 p.m., on Friday. Memphis was swept at Houston last weekend while the Bearcats (13-35, 5-19 C-USA) won their first C-USA series in over two years after taking two-of-three at Charlotte.

Memphis is currently tied for sixth in the league standings with UAB and USF entering the weekend. The top eight teams qualify for the C-USA Tournament in Houston that is set to begin on Wednesday, May 26. Cincinnati is still alive for a tournament berth, but the Bearcats sit 5.5 games behind the trio of teams in sixth place with just six league games remaining in C-USA play.

UAB and USF square off against each other in a pivotal series this weekend in Birmingham. The Tigers own the tiebreaker over the Blazers and the Bulls after sweeping UAB in a three-game series and taking both gamse of a doubleheader from USF.

The Tigers conclude C-USA play next week on the road at Saint Louis. The Billikens are in 12th place in the league standings with a 4-19 league mark.
