Tiger Alum Jacob Wilson Named Midwest League All-Star

PEORIA, IL - One year to the date of being drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals, University of Memphis baseball alum Jacob Wilson will represent the Peoria Chiefs in the Midwest League (MWL) All-Star Game to be played June 18 in Dayton, Ohio.
Wilson, selected as a reserve, leads the Cardinals single-A team with 44 RBI while hitting .269 on the season. The Arlington, Tenn., native has eight home runs, nine doubles, a triple and 31 runs scored. He leads the club with a .447 slugging percentage and has a .338 on-base percentage. Wilson ranks tied for second in the MWL in RBI and is tied for the league lead with seven sacrifice flies.
Wilson was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 10th round of the 2012 MLB Draft.
