CHARLESTON, S.C. - Two years removed from pitching for the University of Memphis, Tigers alum Ben Paullus has been named a South Atlantic League (SAL) South Division All-Star, the league announced Monday.

A relief pitcher for the Charleston RiverDogs, Paullus has a 3-1 record and a 3.09 ERA in 18 appearances for the New York Yankees Class A affiliate. Over the course of 35 innings pitched, Paullus has struck out 35, walked 20 and picked up three saves. Paullus was drafted by the Yankees in the 19th round of the 2011 MLB Draft. The SAL All-Star Game is Tuesday in Lakewood, N.J.

Paullus is the second Tigers alum named to a minor league all-star roster this season. Jacob Wilson was named a Midwest League All-Star on June 5 representing the Peoria Chiefs, the St. Louis Cardinals Class A affiliate.
