NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - The All-Star honors continue to accumulate for University of Memphis baseball players participating in summer woodbat leagues, as rising senior Brach Davis will represent the North Adams Steeplecats on the New England Collegiate Baseball League's Western Division All-Star squad the league announced.

Davis is one of five North Adams players to be selected to play in the NECBL All-Star Game to be held at MacKenzie Stadium in Holyoke, Mass. on Sat., July 18. First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m. EST.

The Southpaw from Southaven, Miss. has put up dominating number in seven appearances (all starts) this summer. He is 3-2 with a staff-best 1.54 ERA. Davis leads the NECBL's with 51 strikeouts in 41 innings of work and holds opponents to a North Adams'-low a .177 opponent's batting average.

Davis, who was the NECBL's starter in its showcase versus Team USA on July 5, has been solid in nearly every outing this summer. He began the summer with an eight-strikeout, five-inning performance on Opening Day and followed that outing up with five strikeouts in a six-inning appearance versus the Holyoke Blue Sox on June 11. He equaled his eight-strikeout performance with eight K's in 6.1 innings against Newport (June 17). Davis fanned a career-high 10 to pick up his first win of the summer in a seven-inning outing against the Lowell All-Americans (June 25). He struck out five and allowed just three hits en route to a stiff seven-inning complete game victory over Danbury on July 1. Davis had his strongest appearance of the summer in his last outing when he struck out a career-high 12 to help North Adams to a 4-1 win over the Lowell All-Americans on July 13.
