Baseball Adds RHP Trevor Sutton to 2014 Signing Class
Nov. 19, 2012
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Riverdale High School (Murfreesboro, Tenn.) product Trevor Sutton signed his National Letter of Intent (NLI) and will join the University of Memphis baseball team for the 2013-14 season, head coach Daron Schoenrock announced Monday. “Trevor will be a great addition to our pitching staff,” Schoenrock said. “He has the tools and ability to pitch at a very high level. We are excited he has decided to become a Tiger and we look forward to seeing his development in our program.” Sutton is a four-year letterman at Riverdale High School in Murfreesboro, Tenn., and he has played in the infield while being primarily a pitcher. Last season, Riverdale advanced to the semifinals of the state tournament, but Sutton appeared in only one game due to injury. Sutton has earned Mid-Atlantic Team USA honors as well as Tennessee Baseball Coaches Association (TBCA) accolades. Sutton is the fourth of six signees announced by Schoenrock.
