MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- Antonio Anderson scored 17 points and Roburt Sallie added 13 as Memphis pulled away in the second half for an 80-57 victory over Marshall on Wednesday night in the Conference USA opener for both teams.

Tyreke Evans added 11 points and eight rebounds as Memphis (11-3, 1-0) used a 27-7 rally to put away the Thundering Herd in the second half. Memphis ended the night shooting 47.5 percent from the field (29 of 61), while holding Marshall to 28.6 percent (18 of 63).

Memphis has won 43 straight conference games, including the postseason tournament.

Markel Humphrey led Marshall (7-7, 0-1) with 14 points, while Damier Pitts and Tyler Wilkerson finished with 11 apiece. Wilkerson also grabbed eight rebounds.
